Double Chocolate Prune Cookie Cereal

A healthy, homemade, sugar-free plant-based chocolate cookie cereal naturally sweetened with California Prunes which are a superfood dried fruit packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Made with a few simple ingredients and baked until crunchy and satisfying.

  • 1/2 cup (60g) California Prunes
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) water
  • 3/4 cup (94 g) almond flour
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp (45 g) nut butter
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • Optional: 1-2 tbsp (15 mL- 30 mL) sweetener of choice


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F (190°C ).
  2. In a blender cup or mini food processor, blend prunes and coconut oil, adding a splash of water as needed, until smooth.
  3. Mix together all ingredients in a bowl until combined.
  4. Use your hands to roll small balls of dough, then flatten slightly into cookie shapes approx. 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 11-13 minutes, until firm. Let cool completely.
  6. Serve with milk of choice. Enjoy!
